The controls are easy to use and it even comes with a feeding timer for helpful reminders. Two way communication is possible by using the video monitor as a walkie-talkie and audio will play through the monitor automatically once the camera detects noise with its microphone.

My wife and I are expecting and we've been collecting baby stuff along the way. Since we don't have a baby to monitor (for the moment!) we used it on our dog. The dog Moose has a horrible habit of eating food from the counter. So we set up the camera in the kitchen and took the video monitor with us to the living room couch. Whenever Moose left us from the couch we would watch the monitor to see if he had gone 'surfing'. This was an excellent time to try the two-way communicator. As we saw him eyeballing a possible snack I clicked the walkie-talkie button and gave the 'leave it' command. Sure enough Moose walked away and left the counter alone.
